Comments about several contributions collected in a book (Gitti and others eds.) to be published by Il Mulino and concerning “enterprise contract” functional to modalities for exploiting and transferring goods and services. Particular attention is devoted to the effective weight of the taxonomic approach framed through so called contractual types and to the actual meaning of the divide between mandatory and default rules.
