Dr Antonio Davola is Adjunct Professor and Postdoctoral Researcher at the LUISS “Guido Carli” University of Rome, and Marie Sklodowska Curie Individual Fellow at the University of Amsterdam. He earned a LL.B. in Law with honours at the University of Pisa in 2015, a LL.M. in Law at the Yale Law School in 2018, and a Ph.D. in Law and Technology at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies of Pisa in 2019 (title of the Ph.D. dissertation: “The death of consumer law at the crossroad of law, economics and cognitive sciences: a tentative reaction”). He has been Visiting Researcher at the École Normale Superieure de Paris, the University of Oslo, the University of Petra, and he attended intensive courses at the London School of Economics and at the University of Peking.

Dr Antonio Davola’s main areas of interest involve competition law, consumer protection and regulation of emerging technologies. In particular, he devotes significant attention to the application of experimental and empirical analysis to consumer protection, consistently with a research approach strongly focused on Law and Economics. Within these fields, he authored and co-authored more than thirty publications in Italian journals (Contratto e impresa, Danno e responsabilità, Diritto di internet, Il foro italiano, Responsabilità civile e previdenza, Rivista di diritto privato, Rivista italiana di medicina legale) and international reviews (Digest: National Italian American Bar Association Law Journal, Idaho Law Review, Open Review of Management, Banking and Finance, Revista de Concorrência & Regulação, The Italian Law Journal), presenting his researches in national and international conferences.

Dr Antonio Davola is Research Fellow at the Law & Economics LAB, Research Assistant in the Laboratorio Interdisciplinare Diritti e Regole (LIDER-Lab) at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies of Pisa, and he collaborates as peer reviewer for the electronic Journal Opinio Juris in Comparatione. At the Yale Law School, he was Resident Fellow at the the Information Society Project and Lead Editor for the Yale Journal of Technology. Admitted to the Italian bar in 2018, he has practised law at the law firms Macchi di Cellere Gangemi and Pavia e Ansaldo.
