Prof. Giuseppe Colangelo is an Associate Professor of Law and Economics at the University of Basilicata, Adjunct Professor of Competition and Markets of Innovation and Markets, Regulation and Law at LUISS “Guido Carli” University of Rome, and Fellow at the Transatlantic Technology Law Forum at the Stanford Law School. From 2015 to 2017, he held the Jean Monnet Chair in European Innovation Policy, and from 2017 to 2020, he was Adjunct Professor of Legal Issues in Marketing at Bocconi University of Milan.

Prof. Giuseppe Colangelo graduated in Law at LUISS in 1998, he obtained a LL.M. in Competition Law and Economics at the Erasmus University Rotterdam in 2003, and a Ph.D. in Law and Economics at LUISS in 2005. From 2006 to 2008, he was Postdoctoral Researcher in Comparative Law at LUISS, developing the research project “The intersection of intellectual property rights and competition law in US and EU”. In 2006 he received the annual award for the best research on the topic of intellectual property by the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property. Since 2006, he has been Senior Research Fellow at the Law & Economics LAB.

Prof. Giuseppe Colangelo is author/editor of nine monographs, he has published hundreads of journal articles and book chapters, he is editorial member of the board of the journals Mercato concorrenza regole and Rivista italiana del diritto del turismo, as well as referee for the journals Concorrenza e mercato, European Competition and Regulatory Law Review, European Competition Journal, Il foro italiano, International Journal Law and Technology, and The Journal of World Intellectual Property. His primary research interests are related to innovation policy, intellectual property, competition policy, market regulation, and economic analysis of law.
